Beautyin The Pot after two outlets at OneKM Mall and The Centrepoint, has opened its newest and largest branch. Strangely, it is just above its original outlet, at Level 3 of OneKM Mall. (Hey, the other parts of Singapore need some love too.) What will define this hotpot restaurant over the others is its pink theme inspired by cherry blossoms in Orderfood online at Beauty in The Pot (KINEX), Singapore with Tripadvisor: See 124 unbiased reviews of Beauty in The Pot (KINEX), ranked #948 on Tripadvisor among 13,995 restaurants in Singapore. Facial wash Beauty In The Pot berbentuk botol yang berisi cairan bewarna bening agak kehijau hijaun dan agak kental, Pertama kali di pakai diwajah tidak terasa efek apapun, namun pada saat dibilas wajah terlihat langsung cerah. 5Jun 2022 Review by Tripadvisor traveller AshleyT555 Food is average, soup makes me thirsty but the service is friendly and attentive Unfortunately the quality of the food has dropped since I last patronise their orchard branch before the COVID. ParadiseGroup latest addition offers yet another affordable option for a value-for-money meal, so put Beauty in A Pot on your to-go list for steamboat today. P.S Beauty In the Pot also does steamboat delivery if you're lazy to head down. Expected Damage: $30 - $50 per pax. Thehighlight of Beauty in the Pot's menu here is definitely their soup bases, of which there are six. Yes, six! Diners are truly spoilt for choice! Here's what we think of the 4 soup bases we tried: 1. Signature Beauty Collagen Broth: A milky and thick soup, creamy to some extent. Bountiful in flavor. Itturns out that she ordered some of the popular hot pot items which are also recommended by other food bloggers. Twin pot: Beauty Collagen Soup ($15.50) + Spicy Nourishing Broth ($12.50) She ordered the classic Beauty Collagen Soup, made from Shark collagen. If I knew it was shark collagen back then, I would not have even dined at this restaurant. Atmosphereis really good. I have been beauty in the pot VivoCity yesterday night with my best friend. All the environment is good, e specially the college soup is really fantastic and good taste. One of the service crew is always smile and make a a day. It is located at a corner unit at basement 2. Look out for Lim Chee Guan now you know, then Subway. Unlike some of the other branches are decorated in pink, this outlet has a primary white, brass and Tiffany blue colour scheme. The interior is done up art deco style, like a “jewel box” which represents luxury, glamour, and romanticism. For the Jewel Changi Airport outlet, there is a dedicated luggage area and a children’s playground though closed due to COVID-19. Other to some of the hotpot restaurants which are noisier and energetic, I think this is a place with high enough ceilings and space for group outings and conversations. There are six different nourishing soup bases with rich flavours and nutritional benefits, including Signature Beauty Collagen Broth, Vitamin C Tomato Sweet Corn Broth, Signature Spicy Nourishing Soup Pork Bone Soup, Herbal Drunken Chicken Broth, and Cooling Coconut Broth. Diners can choose between a single pot, twin pot or a quart pot. The price of a single pot starts from $14; a quart pot starts from $5 each. Whether you are picking a twin or quart, one of the soups should contain the Beauty Collagen Broth, since it IS the signature and tastiest of the lot. Just a note that the broth used to be shark collagen, but it has been replaced with a concoction of pork trotter, chicken feet, compoy, chicken and pork bones. I would personally prefer the older version, but this makes a worthy replacement with its semi-thick, creamy and nourishing flavours. To be honest, the first few mouthfuls are always the best, till it gets diluted upon refills. The Spicy Nourishing Soup is NOT a “mala” broth, so it doesn’t provide that numbing feeling on the tongue. Still moderately spicy, not as greasy, and makes a good complement to the collagen. We all thought the Mushroom Soup needed some added ingredients like meats to make it richer and more flavourful, as it started out slightly diluted. The Cooling Coconut Broth left us divided. Some liked its unique, refreshing touch; while others thought a mildly sweet hotpot soup was weird. I thought it paired well with chicken meat and the Fish Tofu. Beauty in The Pot offers a variety of fresh ingredients ranging from meat and seafood to vegetables and noodles. All the meatballs, meat paste and dumplings are handmade. Some of the must-try items include the melt-in-your-mouth Signature Homemade Fish Tofu $ Ebiko Prawn Paste $ Assorted Balls Platter $ and Fried Beancurd Skin $ The Fried Beancurd Skin is supposed to be dipped into the broth for 3 seconds – nothing more, nothing less. If you are skeptical about the short period of time, try it anyway, no harm. Recently, they have introduced the Rich Lobster Broth topped with Crispy Rice $20 for twin pot, $38 for single pot You get the seafood umami flavours, but it doesn’t go overly rich so that you can still savour the natural taste of the ingredients, packed with oceanic sweetness of lobster flesh. The bonus is a bowl of Poached and Crispy Rice is given, and the server would help you top it up with the lobster broth, almost like having Lobster Pao Fan. If you are thinking what to add to your Lobster Broth hotpot, recommended items include the Homemade Fish Tofu – made with yellowtail fish, soya bean and egg white, Fried Beancurd Skin, Soft Bone Pork Meatballs, and Assorted Dumpling Platter with Pork Roll, Pork and Chives, Prawn Roll and Prawn Dumpling. I found that the Ebiko Prawn Paste shaped out of 100% prawn meat went very well with the Lobster Broth, to savour the bouncy prawny crunch in luscious shrimp stock. Moreover, Hai Di Lao does have the 20% discount after 10pm as well – albeit only at selected outlets which are mostly located in town. What We Had at Beauty in the Pot 美滋锅 Beauty in the Pot Condiments Section The sauce we concocted from the condiments section of Beauty in the Pot Side dishes from Beauty in the Pot After ordering, it was time to head to the condiment section to get our sauces and the side dishes available. In the condiments department, we have to say that Hai Di Lao trumps Beauty in the Pot slightly. In terms of condiments selection, HDL has a wider selection and the side dish options were better. During our visit, there was only 1 decent side dish – the seaweed but at HDL you’ll be able to have selections such as beancurd skin and even mushrooms. Lastly, at HDL, if you order the drinks, it comes with dessert options of beancurd, ice cream etc which is another option that beats Beauty in the Pot from the condiments perspective. Beauty in the Pot Collagen Herbal Chicken and Spicy Pork Broth with Signature Fish Tofu and La Mian Beauty in the Pot – Top Up of Soup / Broth Beauty in the Pot Beef Platter In the taste department, we have to say that Beauty in the Pot wins Hai Di Lao hands down. The Beauty Collagen Broth was just so good. Rich, creamy and not so salty. You can be satisfied with the soup just by itself. No need for meats to be cooked within for the broth to be “sweetened”. The signature fish tofu was as good as advertised. Fresh with the melt-in-your-mouth texture. On the other hand, we also enjoyed the signature mashed prawn from Hai Di Lao – though it was comparatively more expensive. Lastly, the portion of the beef platter was generous included US Wagyu Beef, US Angus Prime Short Ribs, Sliced US Beef, US Marbled Beef Cube and though we only ordered this meat platter, we were very much satisfied by the end of the meal. If you enjoyed our content, “Like” us on Facebook Today! All in all, we enjoyed the experience at Beauty in the Pot. We also did a comparison between Beauty in the Pot and Hai Di Lao, finding Beauty in the Pot to be better in the taste department but losing out in the condiments department. Price wise, both were comparable. This means that… If you’re a food connoisseur and taste matters more to you, definitely head to Beauty in the Pot to get your dose of the rich, creamy and tasty broths offered here. If you’re looking for a venue to just chill with your mates, with the better free-flow condiments options at Hai Di Lao is definitely a better option. Also, service is much better at HDL too. We hope you have enjoyed our review of Beauty in The Pot 美滋锅 and the comparison with Hai Di Lao. Let us know more of what you think in the comments section below! If you’re wondering why the 20% discount was not reflected in the receipt above, it was eventually applied when we asked for the final bill. Yup, the 20% discount after 10pm works!
